Jeanne Marie Gibbens, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died pm Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at the age of 88 in Fargo, North Dakota

Jeanne was born to Victor and Marie (Jostock) Warnimont in Evanston, IL on March 29, 1929. She grew up in Chicago and received her RN degree from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Chicago in 1948.

On Nov. 3, 1951 Jeanne married Franklin T. "Treacy" Gibbens at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Chicago. The couple made their home in Jamestown for a short time, then moved to Ronan, MT.

In 1958, Jeanne and Treacy moved to Garrison, ND and lived there until 1983, when they moved to Naples, FL. They lived in Naples until August 2017, when they evacuated to Fargo following Hurricane Irma.

Jeanne will be remembered for her strong faith in God, which she passed on to her family, and for the extraordinary kindness she showed to everyone she met.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 66 years, Treacy; sons Stephen (Kim) Yorktown, VA; Mark (Theresa), Rapid City, SD; Joseph (Laurie), Tacoma, WA; daughters Mary (Roger) Sayler, Fargo, ND; and Rosalie (Scot) Woodmancy, Yankton, SD; a sister Mary Shurba, Chicago, IL; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Joseph, in 1952 and Joseph Gerard, in 1955.

Christian wake service with rosary recitation will be at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, with visitation to follow.

A Requiem Mass will will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday, October 30, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 922 5th Street, Rapid City.

Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
