Jeanne Marie Peck

Jeanne Marie Peck, 71, passed away at Monument Health-Rapid City Hospital on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Jeanne was born on March 17, 1955, to Marvin and Phyllis (Potter) Peck.  She was raised in Rapid City and attended Lincoln and Horace Mann Schools as well as Black Hills Works. Jeanne loved Camp Friendship and participating in Special Olympics. She was employed at Rapid City Regional Hospital assembling IV kits and instruments for surgical procedures.

She was a very social lady and really knew how to get her way. Jeanne delighted in listening to old vinyls on her record player, watching ER, and playing with her beads. Her special love was Dr. Pepper and hearing the pop of opening a new can.

Survivors include her sister Debra (Jack) Durant, Richmond, VA; her step mother, Dottie Peck, Rapid City; her step brother Curt (Tamara) Taylor, Rapid City, and her step sister, Laura (Jim) Honey, Rapid City.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Winona Myers, Robert Nierenhausen, and James Peck, and a step brother, Doug Taylor.

Her celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior.

Burial will be at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
