Rapid City - Jerri ā€œJJā€ Doud, 54, died Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Monument Health Home Plus Hospice House.

Jerri Jo (Barry) Doud (JJ) was born July 30 1971... transition took place on April 13, 2026 pain free

Happy and Grateful to be her mother, Carol Fisher Engel said she came into this world in 45 minutes and never slowed down!!

As a young lady or self-proclaimed tomboy, she played soccer on League teams, Select teams, and Traveling teams. She could outrun any player male or female. She scored and assisted making goals for the famous Cottontails team. Her team got teased for their name which didn't bother them as they won several tournaments traveling to Sioux Falls, Minnesota and Colorado many times. She played softball for the Harney league. One night she hit three home runs in a single game. They even announced it on KOTA TV at the 10 pm news. She played volleyball and basketball for Central High School. Unfortunately, she wasn't into ballet but always said it helped with her foot coordination; she didn’t want to hurt Grandma Fisher's feelings who said ballet was for young girls. She later coached youth soccer.

She was an avid and dedicated Oakland Raider fan since the time she was 5 years old. In the late 1990s she was excited to go to the Denver Bronco vs Oakland Raider Monday night football game where they had the famous snowball fight. She never gave up on her Raiders even when they went to Los Angeles, back to Oakland and now in Las Vegas.

JJ and Carol enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Disney World, and Las Vegas.

She started her customer service skills working for JJ's Savage Tan, her mother started when she was 10 years old. Later in life she would manage various restaurants. Her employees trusted and respected her knowledge of her customer skills service.

Jesse James (Sunshine) as she called him was born in 1993. Samantha (Sammy) was born a year later who she called "Moonbeamā€. They enjoyed many days and nights camping and boating in the Black Hills and Angostura.

Grateful to be in JJ's life is her mother Carol, on Jesse, daughter Sammy, Aunts and Uncles, numerous friends, coworkers, cousins including Special ā€œStreakerā€ cousin Trisha...and best friend "Karaoke" cousin Tosha.

JJ will be reunited with her Grandma Laura and Grandpa Earl Fisher, and Stepfather Randy Engel.

The family would like to invite friends to share fun times and memories about JJ on Friday April 17, 2026 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral home, 2700 Jackson Blvd in Rapid City.
