Jerry Anderson, age 73 of Smithwick, SD, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Jerry was born on September 12, 1947, to LaVerne and Vera Anderson.

Jerry grew up in Rapid City and married Peggy Jo Blevins on November 9, 1968. They shared a life of fifty-two years enjoying friends, family, children and grandchildren.

He enjoyed spending his time boating with his family and friends on the muddy Mississippi River in Louisiana, MO and fishing the lakes of the Black Hills of SD.

In his later years he enjoyed his children and grandchildren and looking forward to retirement. In retirement he loved gardening with Peggy and playing on the skid steer. "He was a bull in a china closet" as our mother would say. He was a man that would help anyone in need at anytime, day or night. Dad always said "you're as good as the company you keep" and he was always good company.

He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. A private ceremony will be held for his immediate family.

Jerry is survived by his mother Vera Anderson, wife Peggy Anderson, son Wayne Anderson, daughter-in-law Deanna, daughter Kari Holloway, son-in-law Seth Holloway, daughter Danielle Reller, son-in-law Fritz Reller, grandchildren Morgan, Dalton, and Levi Anderson, Garet and Tristen Holloway, and Peyton and Riley Reller, 2 brothers Richard Anderson, Jim (Janelle) Anderson, sister-in-law Bonnie Fitzgerald.
