Rapid City Jerry L. Dusty Dunmire, 63, Rapid City died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born February 17, 1947 at Fairborn, Ohio to Milton LaVerne and Florence Geraldine [Shabino] Dunmire. He attended school in Bloomington, Minnesota and graduated from Bloomington high school and attended a couple years of college. Dusty had served in the Army National Guard and was discharged February 21, 1967. Over the years he was a parts manager for several heavy equipment companies in Rapid City and was presently employed with Titan Machinery. Dusty was a huge sports enthusiast and enjoyed bowling and went to many tournaments over the years. He also played softball with the Farmers Union Insurance team and played on the South Dakota team in the Over 50 Senior Baseball World Series for a couple of years, and played hockey in Bloomington. He was a huge fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. Survivors include two daughters: Lindsey [Paul] Dunmire-Roath of Salina, KS and Kaleen [Richard] Flynn of Redmond, WA; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Memorial services for Jerry will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Oshiem & Schmidt Funeral Home with Chaplain [Ret.] Herb B. Cleveland officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow at a later date at Mt. View Cemetery, Rapid City. Memorials may be directed to the Coley Memorial Baseball Tournament.
