Jill C. Hamm, 75, of Rapid City, passed away at the Monument Health Home Hospice on Friday, February 5, 2021.

Jill was born on July 15, 1945 to John and Nancy (Chapman) Boughner in Wheeling, West Virginia. She attended Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas, but moved to South Dakota when her father was transferred to Ellsworth Air Force Base. It was while working at Haggerty's in Rapid City that she met her husband, Dean, who came into the clothing store after hearing there was a "cute new girl in town." The two fell in love and were married on May 12, 1965.

Jill was always a devoted wife, mom, and grandma. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends. In later years, feeding "her" deer and bluebirds brought her much joy.

She is survived by her children; Chris (Bridgette) Hamm and Mindy King, both of Rapid City, her grandchildren; Taylor (Joshua), Carson (Makaela), Madison (Christian), Baylie (Tony), Alivia, and Kanin, and two great grandsons; Milo and Emmett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean and her sister, Lynn Treadwell, both in 2019.

A private family funeral service will be held at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery.
