HURON | JoAnne (Simonds) Davis, 67, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center. JoAnne Hutchison, daughter of Miles A. and Helen Irene (Riggert) Hutchison, was born Feb. 12, 1947, in Cheyenne, WY. She attended school and graduated from high school in California. JoAnne worked as a clean room technician for Motorola Incorporated for 15 years before retiring in September 2008. JoAnne enjoyed cooking and fishing. She loved to entertain and serve her family and friends. During her years at Motorola, JoAnne would plan and cook for parties for her friends at the company. JoAnne was also responsible for planning an annual trip for her friends at Motorola. JoAnne loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Grateful for having shared in Joanne's life are her son, Mark (Meg) Simonds of Huron; her grandchildren, Michael and William Simonds of Huron; two sisters, Sandie Hutchison and her partner, Greg Johnson, of Huron, and Barbara Clauson of Rapid City; sister-in-law, Sandy Hutchison of Orem, UT; special friend, Norma Morris of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces, nephews and close personal friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Billy Simonds; and two brothers, Jim Hutchison and Michael Hutchison. In addition, she lost her brother Thomas Hutchison in April 2015. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Blvd., in Rapid City.
