RAPID CITY - Jocelyn "Joy" Mason, 68, passed away at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital on Monday, December 19, 2022.

Joy was born on Thursday, July 22, 1954 to June and Franklin Jutton in Schenectady, NY.  After high school, Joy further pursued her education earning her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.  Her career took her and her family to many different states ultimately settling in Rapid City.  She was passionate about her work and enjoyed assisting many children over the years.

Joy is survived by her daughter, Tiana Bedford (Joey Kerns), her three grandchildren; Ayden, Kalena and Tyler Bedford, her sister, Jann Kerr, her best-friend, Vernae Luhr and beloved dog, Jayci.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jackie.

She gave back to the world with her kindness and wisdom.  Joy was a wonderful grandma, and being a grandmother was her pride and joy.

She was dearly loved and will not soon be forgotten.
