Rapid City - Joel Caleb Bailey was born January 16, 1974 in Rapid City, SD. He died June 28, 2014 at 40 years old at his home in Rapid City. He worked in plumbing, web design, and information technology; most recently for the Douglas School System. He is survived by his sons: Noah and Ethan Bailey and their mother Michelle Quinn; Cheryl Strachan [mother]; Michael Woody [step-father]; Wright Bailey Sr. [father]; Don & JoAnn Strachan and Nellie Bailey [grandparents]; Michael Bailey, Amadee Safar, Jared Bailey, Wright Bailey Jr., Joseph Bailey, and Martin Bailey [siblings]; and many nieces and nephews. Joel was an artist of incredible skill, an intellectual, a passionate man, a kind and loving man who was loved deeply by all of his family and friends. Memorial services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard, Rapid City.
