In Loving Memory of Jonathan David Roth

Jonathan, Age 40, of Rapid City SD passed away on May 12, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born December 23, 1983, Jonathan brought immense joy to those around him.

Jonathan was the youngest child and only son of David and Kathy Roth.  At a young age it was apparent that he was more adventurous and daring than his sisters.  As soon as he could walk, he was out the gate and down the road pushing his popcorn popper.  A life of adventure soon followed.

Jonathan's journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience.  His unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew him.

As a father, Jonathan faced the complexities of life head-on, navigating responsibilities of parenthood with grace and determination.  Despite inherent difficulties, he turned every obstacle into an opportunity to create a loving environment for his cherished children Hunter and Sophia.

Jonathan was an avid outdoorsman who spent much of his time in nature.  When not working for the family business, he enjoyed hiking, paddle boarding, golf and so much more.

Jonathan is survived by loving family and friends who will forever hold dear his memories.  Jonathan will be remembered for his kindness, compassion and positive impact he had on everyone fortunate to have known him.

Jonathan is survived by his children, Hunter and Sophia Roth; his parents, David and Kathy Roth; sisters: Johnna (Ty) Clemmons, Jennifer Roth, Janice Fought (Eric), and Jamie (Cal) Heldenbrand, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m.

Christian Funeral Mass will be offered at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
