Joseph Paul "Joe" Keith, 64 of Rapid City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Monument Health Home + Hospice House.

He was born on November 9, 1959, in Sagamihara, Japan to Bobby Lee and Marjorie Ann (McPherson) Keith while Bobby was on active duty with the US Air Force.  Joe later served in the US Army and then pursued a career as a security officer working private security.

Joe had a big heart and enjoyed the many friends that visited him often.  He was always willing to help those less fortunate and especially with his Church.

He is survived by his sister Anne (and her husband Pete) Peters of Davenport, WA., His brother Frank (and wife Micha) from Highlands Ranch, CO., and his brother Carey Keith from Seattle. His nephew and niece Daniel and Jenn Miller and their family. Daniel and Jenn and their family were a large part of his life and were very helpful in his care through his end days.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Marjorie Keith of Rapid City.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Bethel Church in Rapid City.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name at Bethel Church on 1202 North Maple Ave., 57701. Attention: Pastor Keith Culver.
