She was born on March 19, 1934 in Folsom, SD & was the daughter of Emil & Lucille (Dewitt) Berner. She grew up on the family ranch with her younger brother, Donnie Ned.

She graduated from Rapid City High School in 1952 & married Leo Quinn on October 3, 1953 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Rapid City. They were married for 60 years with 7 children. Delores (Glen) Kummer, Gerald (Tami) Quinn, Raymond (Gaylene) Quinn, Nancy (Mark) Black, Diane (Roy) Quinn. Joyce also had 12 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, her two sons, Michael and Thomas, her brother, Donnie Ned & grandson, Jeffrey Kummer.

Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, Sept. 22, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with a Christian wake service at 7pm.

Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10am on Friday, Sept. 23 at the Church of St. Therese, the Little Flower, with Rev. Kerry Prendiville presiding.

A luncheon will follow.

Burial will be held at the Black Hills National Cemetery at 1pm.
