Maria "Julie" Julianita Vigil 81 of Rapid City passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 in Rapid City.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday January 9 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Swarthout officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Rapid City.

Julie was born December 10, 1941 in Lumberton, NM to Pedro and Teresa (Arguello) Valdez Sr. On February 10 1962 she married Eugene "Geno" A. Vigil in Rapid City.

Julie is survived by her son; Dion (Dawn) Vigil of Rapid City, brothers; LeRoy Valdez of Rapid City, Emil (Betty) Valdez of Colorado Springs, CO, Fidel (Sandy) Valdez of Dayton, NV, sister; Theresa (Randy) Rowland of Rapid City, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and son-in-law Keith McCloskey

Julie is preceded in death by her daughters; Delores Vigil, Cheryl McCloskey, Marlene Vigil, parents, brothers; Julian Valdez, Freddie Valdez, Joe Valdez, and Pedro "Tony" Valdez Jr.
