June H. Geist, 81, of Summerset, SD, formerly of Vero Beach, FL, passed away at home on Saturday, February 17, 2024, surrounded by those who loved her.

June was born on September 10, 1942, in Bellefonte to Francis Tobey Hall, Jr. and Florence Natalia (Nelson).

On May 31, 1964, she married Richard P. Geist in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.  Together, they shared almost 60 years of marriage.  During this time, they welcomed three children into their hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Summerset, her daughter, Sonya Gauthier (Denis) of Summerset, her sons; Richard P. Geist II (LeeAnn) of Columbia, MD and Erik Geist of Rapid City, her sister Ruth Thornton of Loudon, TN.  June also leaves behind three grandchildren: Brandon Gauthier (Amanda) of Everett, WA, Shelby Hooper (Nathaneal) of San Antonio, TX, Brittany Day of Summerset as well as four beautiful great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Paul Thornton.

June will be cremated and scattered down the Indian River in Florida to be amongst the dolphins she loved so much.
