June R. Pierce, 71, of Rapid City, died at the Golden Living Center in Watertown, on Saturday, June 14, 2012. She was born on June 22, 1941 in Bonesteel, SD to Jacob and Helen (Martin) Smith. She married Robert Pierce in 1963. June graduated from Beauty School and was employed in the Rapid City area for many years. She liked WalMart. She loved the Black Hills, especially when her sons would drive her around. Her happiest times were when she was with her family. Survivors include 3 sons, Ladden Pierce and Shawn Pierce, both of Granada Hills, Calif. and Lindell Pierce, Las Vegas, Nev.; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Carrier, Rapid City and Helen Hoppe, Bonesteel; a brother, Frank Smith, Murdo; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and Kayn; and 3 great-grandchildren, Evan, Aubrey, and Ava. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
