RAPID CITY- Kasey Aaron Hudson, 18, of Searcy, AR and formerly of Rapid City drowned in Little Rock, AR. Little Rock experienced extensive flooding due to severe weather in the area. Kasey was born in Rapid City to Scott Aaron Hudson of Rapid City and Trisha Newman Marquiss of Searcy, AR. Kasey was loved by many. He loved to ride dirt bikes, play guitar, and hang out with his friends. Kasey loved music. He was great with his younger siblings and cousins. Kasey was never afraid to try something new. He had a drive to always be on the move and experience different adventures in life. He will be greatly missed by all of us. He leaves behind his parents: Trisha Newman Marquiss, Searcy, AR and Scott Aaron Hudson, Rapid City; brother, Ethan Newman; two sisters, Megan Newman and Bentley Marquiss, all of Searcy, AR; maternal great grandmother, Connie West; great grandparents, Guy (Esther) Carsten, Donna Gilman, Bill Huson; grandparents, Drena (John) Scroggs, Garry Carsten, Darnell Gilman, Dave (Colleen) Hudson; Aunts & Uncles: Garry (Amber) Scroggs, Davey (Staisha) Hudson, Jr, Penny (Scott) Wetch, Heidi (Todd) Anderson, Brandon Miller; and cousins, Halie, Austin, Nicole, Kayla, Renae, Sara, Ryan, Kartney, Kaven, and Kriklyn. Kasey is preceded in death by his cousin, Travis Hudson; great grandfathers: John West, Darrell Gilman and great grandmother, Francine Hudson. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the Church. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church in Rapid City with Rev. David Lindenberg. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
