Castle Rock, CO - Kathryn "Kay" Ann Rafshol-Schultz, 86, was taken "Home" October 20, 2022 as "God" gently closed her eyes and whispered: Be Still and Know: My Peace.

Kay was born May 7, 1936 in Duluth, MN and grew up in Superior, WI.  She graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental College as a Dental Hygienist in 1960.  She lived in San Jose, CA and the moved to Rapid City, SD and retired after 17 years.

Kay was an active member of Rapid City Calvary Lutheran Church and  "The Chapel in the Hills" Norwegian "Stave" Church.  She was a #1 fan of The Rush Hockey Team, dedicated quilter and a talented "Rosemal-Painter".

She is survived by her daughter; Laurie (Bill) Salano of Castle Rock, CO and her son Mark Schlitz of San Jose, CA.  Two sisters Ruth (Thomas) Carol Rafshol-Udager of Rapid City, SD and Virginia (Herb) Karen Rafshol Morgenthaler of Minneapolis, MN.  Nephews Davide Todd Udager, Prescott, AZ; Timothy (Amy) Michael Udager of Rapid City, SD; Brennen Udager, Hawaii; Carson Udager, Rapid City, SD; Josiah Udager, Rapid City, SD; Nieces Karie M., Mineapolis, MN; Kiaja M., Minneapolis, MN and Krysta M., San Francisco, CA; Cousin Janet (Carl) Mattson, Spearfish, SD.
