Keith Eugene Petersen passed away on March 3, 2025 in Box Elder, South Dakota.

Funeral Services will be Monday, March 10th at 10:30am at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home 2700 Jackson Blvd in Rapid City, SD 57702.

Keith was born in Huron, SD on March 24th, 1988. He attended school in Mitchell and Rapid City. He worked as a mechanic throughout his life until he moved to Salem, OR where he spent two years removing asbestos. Then he returned to Rapid City and continued with his mechanic career.

Keith was united in marriage on February 6th, 2015 to Casie Park. The couple was blessed with three children, Harper 15, Kiara 8, Jasper 6. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gaming, grilling, collecting cars, demolition derbies, and spending time with family!

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Muilenburg (Randy), wife, Casie Petersen, and his three children, Harper, Kiara, and Jasper, sister, Amanda Muilenburg and her three children Crystal, Rowdy, and Lane, stepbrothers, Todd Petersen (Alison), Rick LaHay, stepsisters Katie VonEye, Amy Rymer (Shane), aunt, Carolyn Petersen, uncle Glenn Petersen, grandfather, Lennis Laffrey, several nieces, nephews, other close family and friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his father Dennis Petersen, grandparents, Ada and Leonard Petersen, Diana Hohn, and Marie Laffey.
