KEYSTONE | Kenneth Eugene Dahn, 61, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Rapid City Regional Hospital due to injuries sustained from a vehicle accident. Ken was born Oct. 10, 1952, in San Antonio, TX, to Eugene and Shirley Dahn. At the age of 2 months old, Ken and Shirley moved to Rapid City while Gene was deployed to France with the Air Force. Ken graduated from Stevens High School in their first graduating class. Ken was a self-employed entrepreneur, owning many of his own businesses and speculating in land. Ken enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and camping. Ken cared deeply for his family and friends. Ken was involved in the NRA, the VFW, the Eagles and the Keystone Senior Center. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Dahn; his sister, Linda Dahn; his maternal grandparents, Gene and Martha Lethcoe and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Freda Dahn. Ken is survived by his beloved pets, Abby and Pettie; his father, Eugene Dahn; brother, Mark (Laura) Dahn; sister, Laurie (Ray) Walsh; nephews, Christopher Dahn and Branden (Andrea) Walsh; his niece, Malinda (Anthony) Fairbanks; and his great-niece Ashlynn Fairbanks. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Kroger officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ken's name to the Humane Society of the Black Hills.
