RAPID CITY- Ken Katen, 83, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born October 26, 1931 to Jack and Roxanna (Oldt) Katen. The family moved to Chadron, NE in 1937 where he grew up and graduated from Assumption Academy Catholic School. He moved to Rapid City and worked in the grocery business as a manager. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; two sisters; a step daughter and a great granddaughter. Ken is remember in love by his wife, Mary; his sister: Ruth Robbins; daughter, Karen Haugen; three granddaughters: Kristine, Amy, and Allison; five great grandchildren; as well as his stepson: Steve Newlin and his wife, Michelle; step grandsons: Scott and Grant; and many nieces and nephews. Private family services were held, Saturday, August 26, 2015.
