Kreimann

RAPID CITY-Kenneth R. Kreimann, 94, of Rapid City, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at a local nursing home.
He was born on February 8, 1922 in Huron, SD. He was adopted by his aunt and uncle, Amy and Phillip (Koester) Kreimann early in his childhood and was raised on a farm near Hitchcock, SD with his brother, Walt. Ken graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1940. He continued to work on the family farm and married Eleanor Wiles in 1943. Three sons and a daughter were born to them. In 1950, they sold the farm and moved to Huron where Ken began his trucking career. Ken drove eighteen wheelers from coast to coast until retiring in 1984 with an excellent driving record.
Ken and Eleanor moved to Spearfish where Eleanor passed away.
Ken Met Diane Ayres and they were married January 30, 1988 in Rapid City.
His horses were a big part of his life, and he enjoyed riding whenever the opportunity arose. Ken was a member of the Deputy Sheriff's riding club in eastern South Dakota and they rode in many parades throughout the years. He also enjoyed camping and hiking.
He is survived by his wife, Diane, Rapid City, Children; Karen (Ron) Roe, Brandon, SD, Kendall Kreimann, Rapid City, Leighton Kreimann, Huron, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by a son in infancy and his son, Keith in 2014.
