Kenneth K. McLin, 85, Rapid City, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at his residence. He was born Nov. 24, 1922, at Frankewing, Tenn., the son of Emmett and Nellie S. (Smith) McLin. Ken moved to Rapid City in 1948 and was employed at the First National Bank of the Black Hills. He continued his employment there when the bank became Norwest Bank and retired in 1988. Ken was a life member of the Masonic Lodge AF&AM #25, a life member of the Black Hills Scottish Rite Consistory and a life member of NAJA Shrine Temple of Deadwood. He served in the Army Air Corps from September 1940 until November 1945. He is survived by his daughter, Temple M. White, and two grandchildren, Taylor T. White and Karns T. White, all of Chester, VT. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and his son, Ken. M. McLin. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Black Hills National Cemetery, with military honors provided by Rushmore VFW Post 1273.
