Obituary

PIERRE- Kim R. Huber, 60, passed away on Thursday, June 25, at Rapid City Regional Auxiliary Hospice House. Kim was born Oct. 4th 1954 to Kenneth and Marcy Olson and was raised on the family farm in Hettinger, North Dakota. She attended elementary, high school and worked in that area. On March, 14th 1975 she was united in marriage to Garry Huber. To this union a daughter, Sherry, was born. She joined her 3 half-brothers. Kim enrolled in nursing school in August of 1983 and graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Dickinson State College in Dickinson, ND. Her nursing career spanned over 30 years with different specialties in that field. She worked at Custer Community Hospital, Rapid City Regional Hospital and Medical Associates in Pierre, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband Garry Huber, parents Kenneth and Marcy Olson and grandparents. Those grateful to have shared her life are her daughter Sherry (Jason) Pratt, Rapid, City; son, Chris (Dawn) Olson, Ardmore, OK; two step sons: Bill (Jodi) Huber, Littleton, CO ; and Bob (Jessica) Huber Rapid City; brothers and sisters: Roger (Meda) Warbis, Upton, WY; Diane Kessell, Washougal, WA; Gaye (Ted) Obroslinski, Great Falls, MT; Jim (Christine) Olson, Ft. Pierre, SD; Lori Longoria, Harvard, NE; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She had shared the last 8 years of her life with her companion and very best friend Ken Moncrief at their place on the river in Pierre. Celebration of Life Services will be at 2:00 p.m. pm Tuesday, June 30, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Cleveland officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
