Virginia Beach, Virginia--Kyle Leithoff, ET2, US Navy, 32, died on Monday, June 8, 2009, at Norfolk,VA. Kyle was born in Wichita, KS to Robert Leithoff of Wichita and Sandra Jones Leitoff of Wichita. He had graduated from Kansas State University and was a member of their Alumni Association. Mr. Leithoff was a Petty Officer 2nd class in the U.S. Navy and had served during Iraqi Freedom. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 6 years, Aimee Rosario Leithoff; children, Madeline and Quintin Leithoff of Virginia Beach; his mother, Sandra Jones Leithoff, Wichita; his father, Robert Leithoff, Wichita, his parents-in-law, Dr. Elmo and Margie Rosario, Rapid City; his brothers, Leon and Damien (Andrea) Leithoff, Wichita; a half sister, Vanessa Leithoff; his paternal grandmother, LaVerne Leithoff, Newton, KS and maternal grandparents, Derwin and Phyllis Biggerstaff, Wichita. A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 13, at 3:00 pm at the Norfolk Naval Base Chapel. A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, June 20, at 1:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Wichita. A visitation take place from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors provided by the U. S. Navy and Ellsworth AFB Honor Guard.
