Rapid City - Laura Jeanette Willard passed away Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 26, 1936, in Newcastle, Wyoming to William and Ora Price.

She enjoyed working as a waitress at the Gillette truck stop and as a cashier at the Piggly Wiggly in Rapid City. Her main occupation was raising her family on the Willard Family Ranch. Laura and her husband Rolland of 63 years built their forever home in 1956 where they raised their 3 children. She liked to garden and raise various livestock including cattle, chickens, sheep, and pigs. One of her favorite past times was looking out her picture window watching the pond with the geese and ducks. In her spare time, she loved to go fishing and go to Deadwood.

Laura is survived by her daughter Lillian (Gene) Kienzle, son Kenneth (Linda) Willard, 7 grandchildren Jeff (Kim) Olson, Jamie Kienzle, Shelly Kienzle, Michael (Rebecca) Willard, Melissa (Christopher) Spielmann, Whitney (Eric) Carlson, James Hunt, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rolland Willard and son William Willard.

Memorial Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday June 3rd, 2025, at the Big Bend Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gary Pokorney officiating. Everyone is invited to a light lunch afterwards.
