Rapid City – Lavona Radke, 77, died Thursday, February 19, 2026 at a Hospital in Denver, CO.

She was born in Ridgeview, SD on Friday, February 27, 1948. She attended grade school and high school in Eagle Butte, SD, and then attended the University of Sioux Falls. She married Robert Harold Radke on September 28, 1974 in Sioux Falls, SD. Robert died on Monday, December 14, 2020 in Rapid City.

She loved to play bingo and enjoyed working on Word Search books and watching her favorite TV shows, which included “Golden Girls” and “Mom”.

Survivors include her three sons: Bryan Radke, Carl Radke, and Christopher Radke, all of Rapid City; brothers: Frank (Rose) Dupris, John (Roxanne) Dupris, and Fred (Norma) Dupris, all of Rapid City; sisters: Beverly Bad Moccasin of Rapid City and Ramona Wilson of Wadsworth, Nevada; sister-in-law: Tammy Lesmeister of Sturgis; and four grandchildren: Brianna, Madison, Madeline, and Morgan, all of Rapid City.

Lavona was preceded in death by her parents: Everett and Delores Dupris, husband Robert Radke, brothers: Richard Duperior and Ray Lesmeister; and sisters: Lorraine Lesmeister, Esther Lesmeister, and Ceceila (Susie) Joaquin.

Visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 am and funeral service will be 11:00 am at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Father Matt Fallgren officiating.

Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City at 12:00 noon.
