Monkton, Maryland – Leo Martin Tims, JR, 84, of Monkton, Maryland and formerly of Rapid City, died June 9, 2015 at Monkton.

Leo was born August 25, 1930 in Madison, Wisconsin and the family moved to Rapid City in 1931. Leo grew to adulthood and attended school in Rapid City, graduating with the class of 1948 from Rapid City High School. He entered the United States Marines and was honorably discharged on May 6, 1952. He then was employed with the United States FBI and then with IBM for about 35 years before his retirement from IBM.

Survivors include one son Leo [Becky] Tims of Taneytown, Maryland and their two sons: Justin (and two children: Maxwell and Roxana) and John; two daughters: Mary Tims of Phoenix, Maryland and Jennifer [Robert] Banasik of Leesburg, VA and their daughter Ashley; and one sister: Matura [Peter] Pelayic of Rapid City.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 29, 2017 with Father Rev. Bill Zandri officiating at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with full military honors provided.
