Leone K. Keegan, 95, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, under hospice care at the Victorian Assisted Living Home. She was born April 5, 1919, in Dalbo, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Hannah (Johnson) Olson. On August 12, 1944, she married Thomas Keegan in Seattle, WA. Since 1952, the couple lived in the Rapid City area, where she was a constant helpmate to her husband in his construction work until their retirement. Leone was also a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Keegan, of San Luis, CO, and Barbara (Steve) Damin, of St. Johnsville, NY; two sons, Michael (Michele) Keegan, of Kingsport, TN, and Richard (Mary James) Keegan, of Eugene, OR; five granddaughters; three grandsons; three great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Keegan, with whom she enjoyed a blessed union of 58 years until his passing in 2002; and a sister, Doris Davies. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Wilbur Holz officiating. Interment will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Hills or a charity of your choice.
