LeRoy Williams, 78, of Rapid City died Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

LeRoy was born on October 2, 1943 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Willie and Hattie Mabel (Haynes) Williams. He grew up there leaving with his sister and her husband after high school to move to Box Elder, SD.

He worked for the Civil Service at Ellsworth Air Force Base for a few years before finding employment with Montana Dakota Utilities.

LeRoy married Cheryl Pflaumer on July 13, 1984 in Las Vegas.

LeRoy retired from MDU at 58 years old after 30 plus years with the company. He and Cheryl began their winters living in Yuma, AZ, snowbirds for 20 years.

He was a past member of the JayCees and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Williams, Rapid City, stepdaughter, Robbin Reznicek, Rapid City, his sister, Sophie Boykin, Box Elder, numerous nieces and nephews and good friend and neighbor, Penny Toth.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City.
