Mounds View, MN – Linda Buzzetta Torgerson, 73, died Sunday June 24, 2018 at the Bel Rae Senior Living Center.

Linda Lucille Norgard was born November 11, 1944, to Elbert Alton Herring and Marian Lucille (Orloske) Herring. When Linda was a young child, Marian and the children moved to Luverne, Minnesota where she was raised by her mother and step-father, Kenneth Adrian Norgard, and attended school. The family moved to Fargo, North Dakota where she graduated from West Fargo High School. She then attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD and met Frank Buzzetta while he was attending college. They were married September 13, 1965 in Rapid City. They lived in several locations and finally settling in Rapid City. She had her degree in nursing and worked at different locations and then became office manager for her husband's, Dr. Frank Buzzetta, practice. Frank died on January 12, 1998. Linda retired and continued to live in Rapid City. She then met Paul Torgerson and they were married on July 18, 2003 and he died on March 7, 2005. Linda moved to Mounds View, MN in January of 2016.

She belonged to the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce, member and President of the P-FLAG organization, member of and organized the Widow and Widower Support Group, Tuesday Night Dinner Group, and Calvary Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Altar Guild.

She like the outdoors, camping, traveling, cooking, and entertaining.

Survivors include her three children: Chris (Leon Thompson) Buzzetta of Minneapolis, MN, Lisa Buzzetta of Lusby, Maryland, and Bryn (Eric Friesen) Buzzetta of Hurst, TX; three grandchildren: Kayla Hanson, Vance Hanson, and Brayden Buzzetta; one brother: Eric (Lisa) Norgard of Louisville, CO; and two sisters: Carol (Bill) Harris of Virginia and Kathy Norgard of Rapid City, SD.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and one grandson: Alexander Buzzetta.

Memorial visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, July 5 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Friday, July 6 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 5311 Sheridan Lake Road.

Inurnment will follow service at Mt. View Cemetery.
