Linda Sue Lauziere, 75, fell asleep for the last time, in her home, as she wished, on February 3, 2025.  Linda was born, September 28, 1949, the only child of  Patton and Lila (Skog) Burke.

She attended high school in England and has kept in touch with many classmates.

Linda married Larry Lauziere in 1973. While stationed in Taipe, Taiwan, their daughter Brenda Marie was born on May 13, 1975.  Although they were divorced, Larry remained the "love of her life" until her last breath.  Brenda passed away August 31, 2015 and Larry passed away in October 2022.

Linda had a full adventurous life. Her time in Taiwan with Larry and Brenda were her happiest years. She loved to share her stories and slides. Her many, many slides.

Linda graduated from National Business College then went to work her only job at Prairie States Life Insurance Company. Linda retired in 2016.

Linda had many friends. For many years "The Friday Night Girls" got together and went out for dinner. Anyone was welcomed and the attendees often changed. When Linda was placed on hospice, Friday nights went from restaurants to Linda's house.

Linda was first placed on hospice on January 23, 2020. She was a stubborn lady and insisted the doctors were wrong.  On April 2022, she removed herself from hospice care. Proud she had proven the doctors wrong.  Linda lived 5 years longer than expected. She lived this long because she had the love and help of many people.  Alan and Judy, Wayne and Jennie, Kathleen and Tom, Brian, Linda, Debbie, Tracy, Carey and so many more. Thank you for your love, assistance and support.

A memorial service will be held at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home on May 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
