Linda Kaye Plett, age 68, of Rapid City, SD, passed away on April 16th, 2026.

She was born on September 13th, 1957 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada to Clyde Hurtig and Rose Kmiecik. She grew up in Rapid Valley, SD and graduated from Central High School. She went on to have a fulfilling career in IT, including serving the State of South Dakota as a database administrator.

Linda was passionate about arts and crafts and mentored others in organizing craft shows. She was a cheese connoisseur, film buff and proud grandmother. Later in life she enjoyed a fulfilling retirement which included traveling with friends and visiting family throughout the country.

She is survived by her four siblings Steve Oliver, Michael Oliver, Tina Shafer and Terry Oliver; her three sons Jeremy, Denver and Trevor Plett; and her two grandchildren Katia and Noah Plett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivan Plett and her brother Dale Hurtig.

A memorial service will be held on May 2nd at 10:00 A.M. at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home located at 2700 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD.
