IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Marie
Weishaar
August 17, 1950 – November 29, 2021
Linda Weishaar, 71, Rapid City, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Linda was born in Cottonwood, Idaho August 17, 1950, to Fred & Teresa Wessels. While growing up, Linda's family resided in many states due to her dad's work. She would lovingly reminisce about the time she and her family spent in Shiprock, NM where she spent most of her senior year of high school and she made many friends.
After graduation, she moved to Aberdeen, SD where she majored in music at Northern State. Thanks to a blind date set up courtesy of her roommate, she met Les Weishaar. Later on, Linda moved to Rapid City and enrolled at National College. After graduating with a degree in business, she married Les Weishaar on October 24, 1970.
Linda loved being outdoors and trying new things. She was very active in her church, teaching classes as her health allowed. She enjoyed working as a supervisor at Mileage Plus and the many friends she made over the years. She loved to play her organ, knit, sew and quilt. Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year. She could play Christmas songs and sing for hours (accompanied by her kids). She was an amazing wife, mom, grandmother, and friend.
Linda is survived by her husband Les Weishaar, Rapid City; children Mark (Misty) Weishaar, Piedmont; Joe (Jess) Weishaar, New Underwood; Janet (Cody) Lind, Rapid City; Jeff (Kellie) Weishaar, Rochester, WA; Oliver (Sophia) Weishaar, Winlock, WA; Nick (Megan) Weishaar, Rapid City; brothers Bill Wessels, Avon Park, Florida; Thom Wessels, Spokane, WA; sister Peg Stark, Spokane, WA; grandchildren Andrew Weishaar, Valerie Lind, Hunter Weishaar, Noah Weishaar, Bella Weishaar, Caleb Weishaar, Riley Weishaar, Ava Weishaar, Fred Weishaar, Ryker Weishaar, Sophia Weishaar, Penelope Weishaar, Savannah Weishaar, Evelyn Weishaar, Katie Curtis, Melissa Wolski; great grandchildren Kayden Wolski, Jackson Torres, Aria Johns & Maisyn Torres.
