Lloyd C Eurich, SMSGT Ret. passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 in Rapid City, SD. Born May 6, 1941, Bakerstown Pennsylvania, to Charles and Grace Eurich, the youngest of five. Lloyd spent his days enjoying the outdoors, and high school sports.
At 18 he joined the United States Air Force as a combat arms instructor and became a member of the USAF pistol team. Lloyd transitioned to the USAF civil engineering field which took him around the world, but his favorite place he found was Hill City, South Dakota.
On November 5, 1965, he married Victoria Lee Collins in Rapid City SD. Together they had two children, Matthew Eurich and Krista Eurich. After 24 years of serving with the USAF they retired to Hill City in 1984 to raise their children.
Lloyd worked for the Federal Civil Service for 18 years, at Ellsworth AFB, retiring in 2002. In that time Lloyd oversaw numerous programs that positively impacted all servicemen and women at Ellsworth AFB.
He greatly enjoyed the outdoors while hunting, fishing, and golfing. Lloyd participated in high school sports as a basketball referee and became an avid Hill City Ranger fan. Watched his children play various sports, which continued with his granddaughters Dory, Dale, and Demi becoming an avid Miles City Lady Generals fan watching his granddaughter Ryleigh play hockey.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife Vicki, son Matthew, daughter Krista, four granddaughters Dory (Jeff) Grismer, Dale Schrier, Demi Schrier, Ryleigh Eurich, including several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday April 30th at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, May 1st at Osheim & Schmidt funeral home. Luncheon to follow at 1:00 pm at the Hill City Center. Private burial will be at the Black Hills National Cemetery on the afternoon of May 2nd.
