Obituary

RAPID CITY- On Thursday, June 14, Loa Marie Burke Sichterman went to be with Jesus after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Loa was born in Mitchell, South Dakota on December 11, 1939. She later moved to Rapid City in 1943 and then to Pierre where she graduated from Pierre High School in 1957. She then continued her music passion at Northern State College where she met and fell in love with James Burke. They married June 6, 1958 and together they had four children: Tim (Gretchen) Burke, Rapid City; Tammy (Dan) Kveene, West Van Lear, KY; Todd (Dee Hoyer) Burke; Spearfish; and Tori (Kevin) Eickelman, Rapid City.

After their marriage ended, she married Dick Sichterman in 1994. Together she and Dick spent many years traveling the country selling arts and crafts that they produced.

Loa had a special gift and a unique eye for decorating and painting.

The last 15 years Loa and Dick have both been employed at All Metal Mfg Inc.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Sichterman; four children: Tim (Gretchen) Burke, Rapid City; Tammy (Dan) Kveene, Todd (Dee Hoyer) Burke; Tori (Kevin) Eickelman; six grandchildren: Kara Kveene; Rachelle (Braden)Williams; Tyler (Bre) Kveene; Elizabeth (Alex) Westhoff; Logan Burke; Landin Burke;  and six great grandchildren: Maci, Cohen, and Broddic Williams; Kayden Kveene and Ethan and Kallan Westhoff.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Dove Christian Center in Rapid City with visitation one hour prior.
