Lois G. Beach, 82, Rapid City died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice Auxiliary House. Lois Williams was born September 25, 1932 in Pine Ridge, to Louis and Ramona (Wilson) Williams. Lois went on to graduate from Holy Rosary Mission, eventually meeting and marrying the father of her six children, Thomas Beach. While living in Rapid City, Lois assisted her husband with the running of The Hickory House, until the 1972. The flood left the restaurant completely destroyed and left the family devastated. Lois soon began her nineteen year career taking care of a generation of newborns and their mothers. In the last ten years Parkinson's disease took her heath, but her family took good care of her until she passed away due to her illness. She is survived by 4 sons, Scott, Brad (Cheryl) , Drew and Jeff Beach, all of Rapid City, a step-son, Johnny (Peggy) Beach, Olathe, KS; 2 daughters Andrea "Andi" West and Lisa Nyffler, both of Rapid City; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1989 and her brother Bill. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 31, from 4-6 pm at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. A Christian funeral mass will be offered at 10 am on Wednesday, April 1, at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Pine Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of the Black Hills.
