Lois Haynes, 99, of Rapid City, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at her home.

She was born on September 8, 1918 in Alpena, SD to Alfred J. and Isa Brooks (McDonald) Brzazowsky. The family moved to Piedmont where Lois graduated from Piedmont High School in 1936.

She married Donald Hodgman. Years later she married Don Haynes. Lois worked with Don in the Don Haynes Book Keeping Service. She started working for Dr. Hollis Arlin and eventually his son, Dr. Lee Arlin. With the character and tenacity of the "Greatest Generation", Lois continued working until she was 85.

She is survived by her daughter, Lolita (Dale) Oliver, Piedmont, her son, Donald Hodgman, Billings, MT, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband; Donald Hodgman and Don Haynes, a son, Delno, two sisters; Shirley and Lavina and one grandson.

A visitation will be held from 5pm until 7pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, February 22, at the First Presbyterian Church in Rapid City followed by interment at the Pine Lawn Memorial Park.

A memorial will be established to First Presbyterian Church.
