Louis Galen Mitchell, 65, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Department of Veteran Affairs Ft. Meade Veterans Hospital at Ft. Meade, SD. He served in the United States Navy in Vietnam. Survivors include two sisters: Sylvia Harmon of Milner, Georgia and Cora Stratton of Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, January 16 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, January 17 at 12:30 pm at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard with Chaplain Moe Greiner officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Rushmore VFW Post #1273 and South Dakota National Guard.
