RAPID CITY- Lucille "Lucy" Kosters, 91, went to be with her Lord on March 15, 2013. She was born on February 11, 1922, the middle child in the loving family of Frank and Kathryn Dykstra, on a farm near Hills, Minnesota. Following high school, she attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls, SD, winning multiple competitions involving typing and shorthand. In 1944, during World War II, she married John Kosters. They began their life together in Sioux Falls after the war and lived there until John's death in 1991. They were blessed with two children, Victoria and Jack, both the pride of her life. Her faith was of upmost importance to her and she lived as a true servant of the Lord, volunteering for many causes and helping those in need. She was an athlete and was proud to have won a bronze metal running at the National Senior Olympics in Baton Rouge, LA. She loved a good time and will be missed by many. Grateful to have shared her life are her children, Victoria Finley and her husband, Robert, Rapid City; Jack Kosters and his wife, Gina, Phoenix, AZ; six precious grandchildren, Rhett (Julianne) Finley, Wyzetta, MN; Luke Kosters, Coronado, CA; Kara (Adam) Templeton, Rapid City, SD; Claire Kosters, Berkley, CA; Zach Finley, New Orleans, LA; and Sam Kosters, Charlotte, NC; her sisters, Lorrie Vercade and Kathy Lindhout, Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Vonnie (Al) Kloet, Sheboygan, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Hope Christian Reformed Church, 202 East Philadelphia St, in Rapid City, SD, with Rev. John Keizer officiating. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Doon, Iowa. A memorial has been established in her memory. The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Praise be to God.
