Rapid City Luella Rose Colhoff, 80, Rapid City, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Golden Living Center-Black Hills, Rapid City. Luella Rose Colhoff was born August 20, 1930 at Pine Ride, South Dakota to Fred and Dorothy Rose [Janis] Colhoff. She attended school at Holy Rosary in Pine Ridge and when the family moved to Rapid City she attended Rapid City Central High School. She then attended U.C.L.A in Los Angeles, California and graduated with a degree as a Dental Assistant. After finishing college, she enjoyed traveling and in 1967 she moved from Arizona to Rapid City. She was employed at I.H.S. for many years as a Public Health Nurse in the Dental Clinic in Rapid City. Survivors include: one daughter: Robin [Al] Traversie of Rapid City; one grandson: Ashley Traversie and one granddaughter: Autumn Traversie; one half-brother: Donald Murnard of Virginia; and one half-sister: Vivian Murnard of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter: Maria Traversie; three brothers: Buzzy Colhoff, Sunny Colhoff, and Babe Colhoff; one half sister: Marvis Blakesley. Visitation will be from 5:00 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 1 at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 221 Knollwood Dr. with a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Thursday, December 2 at St. Isaac Jogues Church with Rev. David Matzko, S.J. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
