Lyle E. Heath, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and uncle, 89, Rapid City, SD passed away Sept 1, 2021 at St. Martins Village Assisted Living.

Lyle was born August 2, 1932, in his family home in Pukwana, SD.  Lyle was the second of 4 boys born to Benjamin and Regina (Blasius) Heath.

He started his career in farming and later moved to sales and land development.  He never stopped looking for a deal.

Survivors include his wife Velva (Thomas), son Craig (Ellen) of Dakota Dunes, 2 daughters Kathleen (James) Hanley and Cynthia (Jeffrey) Bailie both of Rapid City. Nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Tyler), Heather, Katherine (Cuyler), Laura (Kevin), Matthew (Whitney), Mary (Aubrey), Molly (Jason), Julie (Patrick), Michael (Caitlin). Fourteen great-grandchildren Courtney (Michael), Kerris, Samuel, Rhett, Hazel, Odin, Louis, Nolan, Magnus, Kellan, Isaac, Andrew, Connor, Solveig and 1 great-great-grandson, Hayden.  Lyle is also survived by his two younger brothers, August of Kimball, SD and James (Hannah) of Rapid City.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lloyd.

Funeral services will be at 10AM Tuesday, September 7 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Blvd.

A memorial has been established in his name to Pukwana Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 94, Pukwana, SD 57370 and Kimball Volunteer Fire Department, 116 W. 1 ^st Street, Kimball, SD 57355.
