Rapid City - Marcella Kraft, 78, of Black Hawk, South Dakota (formerly of Mobridge), passed away April 30, 2014 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Marcella was born the third child of eleven to John and Helen Imberi on July 7, 1935, in Hillsview, South Dakota. She was raised on the family farm in Glencross. Marcella married Gene Kraft in 1956 and they raised their six children in Mobridge. They moved to Black Hawk in 1978. After raising her family, Marcella worked in Tally's restaurant in Rapid City for many years. Anyone and everyone felt welcomed into Marcella's home. Her children remember always having large wonderful meals and her signature caramel rolls, with plenty to go around for anyone who dropped in. She was honest, loving, kind, and appreciative and always recognized the beauty in everything. She always gave everything her best effort; even up to the end of her life. Marcella is survived by four sons: Allan "Guy" [Patty] Kraft of Rapid City, John Andrew Kraft of Rapid City, Thomas "Tom" [Yvonne] Kraft of Black Hawk, and Robert "Bob" Kraft of Black Hawk; two daughters: Anna [Allan] Schneider of Emmett, Idaho and Eleanor "Ellie" [Michael] Barnett of Bowling Green, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers: Alex [Linda] Imberi of Rapid City, Balzer "Bill" Imberi of Mobridge, SD, and Larry [Sandy] Imberi of Phoenix, AZ; and seven sisters: Cecila "Sis" [Willy] Hepper of Mobridge, SD, Martha Gibson of Chicago, IL, Margaret [Larry] Taylor of Black Hawk, Katherine Knudtson of Mobridge, SD, Beverly [Jerome] Kramer of Summerset, SD, Althea "Tootie" [Bill] Herman of Enfield, CT, and Joann [Dale] Dietrich of Luverne, MN. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Eugene "Gene" Kraft on September 11, 2009. There will be a Vigil Wake Service at 1:30 pm Sunday, May 4 at Our Lady of the Black Hills Catholic Church, 12365 Sturgis Road, Piedmont. Christian Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 5 at the church with Father Steve Biegler officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
