KANSAS CITY, Mo. -Marcella Ann "Marci" Briggs passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, at North Kansas City Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Marci was born Nov. 30, 1956, in Rapid City, S.D., to George Robert and Patricia Ann (Entenman) Bock. She moved to the Kansas City area in 1985 where she lived and worked in Human Resources until April 2009. Marci met her husband, Garry L. Briggs, in 1997. They married in October 2006. She is survived by her husband, Garry Briggs, Kansas City, and their beloved "pooch," Maggie. She is also survived by two brothers, G. Roger Bock and his wife, Cheryl, and Bennett Bock and his wife, Jen, all of Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Teresa Jones, Bunnell, Fla.; nephews, Kevin Bock, Las Vegas, and Jason Bock and Matthew Bock, both of Littleton; nieces, Starla Davis, Rock Hill, S.C., and Crystal Jones, Hutto, Texas; and great-nephew, Vincent Davis, and great-niece, Leah Davis, both of Rock Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday, June 5, at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery, with the Rev. Dwight Stensgaard officiating. A Memorial service will be held 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 9 at One Community Spiritual Center, 1000 NE Barry Rd., Kansas City, Missouri. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
