RAPID CITY - Marcella C. Tucker, 62, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Monument Health with her family at her bedside.
Marcella was born on October 9, 1961 in Newton, KS, to Martin Weaver and Eva June (Amos) Tucker.
Marcella graduated from Mankato High School in Mankato Kansas in 1979. She went on to attend Western Dakota Technical College where she received an Associate Degree in Medical Transcription.
Marcella enjoyed all things nature. Of her favorites, it was anything rabbits including them as pets. She anxiously looked forward to the fair each year to visit the "bunnies." Marcella loved gardening. Her favorite part was trying to figure out the soil to help her plants grow. Marcella was an avid cook, sharing a variety of dishes with family. Marcella made her dishes special with an array of spices and a variety of salts from her salt collection. Of special adventures, Marcella loved the beach. She loved collecting the seashells. Upon return home, Marcella would clean, sort and arrange the seashells to be enjoyed by those visiting her home.
Marcella will be remembered for her gentle and kind spirit. She was a very loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.
Marcella is survived by her mother, Eva June Tucker; sisters: Stephanie Leuthold and Julie Hulbert, all of Black Hawk; nieces and nephews: Jim Leuthold, Cassandra Leuthold, Melissa Imler, Bradley Hulbert; great niece, Makenna Imler.
She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Tucker.
