Margaret Dorothy Jeske, age 93, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on January 17, 2025 after a brief illness.

Margaret (later known as Midge) was born on March 13, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the fourth child of Charles and Beulah Jansen Rennpferd. She was welcomed home by siblings Arthur, Charles, and Ardis. The family later moved to Antigo, Wisconsin. In 1948 she married Dr. Robert "Bob" Jeske, who was a recent graduate of Marquette Dental School in Milwaukee. The couple moved to Nebraska,Texas, and South Dakota, where they settled in Rapid City,  As Bob built his dental career, Midge became a homemaker and mother to Lynn, Scott and Brett Jeske. Midge was a steady and enthusiastic supporter of her children's activities, whether it be music, sports, or the arts. Her baseball passion became a rewarding side hobby for her when she was offered an associate scout position for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Midge made many friends and connections in this capacity for a few years. She was a lifelong learner, a wonderful storyteller, and an avid eclectic reader, who loved to pass on her books for others to enjoy.

Midge was preceded in death by her father and mother, her in-laws, her husband Bob, brothers Art and Chuck, and son-in-law Robert Costa. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Ardis Van Calligan, daughter Lynn Costa of Fairfax, VA, son Scott (Debra) Jeske of Eagle Grove, IA, and son Brett (Leah) Jeske of Rapid City, SD. Those who knew her as Lola or Mimi are her grandchildren, Lynn's Michelle, Kelly, and Hunter; Scott's Caitlin, Kelsey, McKristie, Hallie, Jakob, Alexa and Addyson; and Brett's Natasha and Chas and their families. Midge also had the joy of being a great–grandparent to fourteen.
