IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Margo
L Javersak
July 16, 1930 – December 21, 2017
Rapid City - Margo (Sutton) Javersak left this world on Dec. 21 st , 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Margo (Margaret) Sutton was born on July 16, 1930 to James and Shella Sutton in Montana, later moving to Rapid City when her father became the first fire chief at Ellsworth Air Force Base. She met Frank Javersak and of that union five children were born. Preceding Margo in death are four infant children: Peter, Paul, Starlee, and James, her parents, her brothers: Earle, Alan, Robert (Buddy), her brothers-in-law Roald Engle, George Amerson, and Al Heutzenroeder, sister-in-law Mary Sutton, and great grandson, Trevon Javersak.
She was an avid gardener and a member of Master Gardeners. She shared her love of plants with her two grandchildren, teaching them the secrets of a green thumb and instilling in them the joy of gardening. Margo was also very creative and artistic, making porcelain dolls (which she called her babies) and sewing clothes for them. Her creations were amazing.
When the blood bank began a program to collect platelets used in helping other mothers with RH negative blood to have healthy children, Margo religiously went to the blood bank so that she could play a part in "saving" babies. Margo continued to participate in the program until it was discontinued. She was proud of the recognition she received from United Blood Bank for all of the platelets she donated.
Margo was active in The Open Bible Church, spending Sundays riding with children on the bus taking them to Sunday School. She would pack treat bags for them every week.
Her faith carried her through many trials in life. Those that know her remember her love of life, her laughter, and say she is one of a kind. Margo's favorite holiday was Christmas. She is known for the sweaters and the twinkling jewelry she wore at that time of the year. The kids loved it.
Margo is survived by her son Mark (Judy), two grandchildren; Shayne and Heather, two great granddaughters, three great grandsons, and one great- great grandson; her sisters: Ann Amerson, Elizabeth (Liz) Huetzenroeder, Donna Engle, one sister-in-law- Pat Sutton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on January 3 rd , 2018 at the Oschiem & Schmidt Funeral Chapel in Rapid City. Visitation will be from 9 am to 10 am with services at 10 am. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery will follow.
A memorial is established at The Children's Home in Rockerville. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate blood.
