Obituary

Margery (Marge) Jangula passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the age of 97 in Rapid City, SD.

A graveside service will be 1:00pm Monday May 22, 2023 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis. Friends and family are gathering from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Canyon Lake Activities Center 2900 Canyon Lake Dr, Rapid City, SD 57702.

Marge was born in Bismarck, ND in November 9, 1925. Her parents were residing in Ashley, ND, and the family moved to Glendive, MT and then back to McClusky, ND. She graduated from McClusky High School in 1943 and was valedictorian of her class. She then attendee Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. She went to Los Angeles, CA and worked as a secretary at the Gilfillan Bros Defense Plant for several months before returning to North Dakota. Marge was married to James Felchle in 1944, they moved to Lemmon, SD in 1951. Three children were born of this union.

Marge was employed by the First National Bank in Lemmon in 1951, and worked as a secretary in the insurance department for 33 years attaining the title of Assistant Manager and assistant cashier.

Marge married Robert (Bob) Jangula of Lemmon on February 9, 1985. He sold his business, the Independent Oil Co., and they began spending their winters in Sun City, AZ in 1997. They decided to move to Arizona permanently in 2006, where Bob passed away in November 2007.

Marge was an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Sun City, and also Spencer Memorial Church in Lemmon. She also read, worked on jigsaw and crossword puzzles, played bridge, and other card games, driving her riding lawn mower, and she loved to garden in her younger years.

Marge was preceded in death by her daughters, Joanne Yecha, her son, Terry Lee Felchle, her parents, Arthur & Lena Wentz, her husbands, Jim Felchle and Bob Jangula, and her sister-in-law, Janet Wentz.

Marge is survived by her daughter Jill (Joe) Utter, her brother, Thomas a. Wentz (Diane), grandchildren, Sheri Drew, Lori (Bob) Hansen, James Yecha, Michael McLean, Daniel Utter, Lindsey Utter, 4 step-children, Susan (Vince) Gunn, Margaret (Bill) Dickinson, Eugene (Linda) Jangula, John Jangula, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
