Obituary

Margret Ann Cole, 77, of Rapid City, passed away on January 28, 2015 at a local nursing home. Margie was born September 2, 1937, in Rapid City, to Ernest and Alice Johnson. When Margie was 13, she and her sister, Polly, entered a talent contest and the girls sang "Mockingbird Hill" on KOTA radio. Margie married the love of her life, Doyle Cole in 1953. Together they had four children, Philip, Michael, Robert and Lori. Margie was an avid reader and she never left the house without a book in her purse. She was also a very talented seamstress and in her spare time she was always at her sewing machine making magic. Margie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Doyle; 2 sons, Philip (Connie) Doyle and Robert (Maggie) Doyle and her daughter, Lori (Randy) Peterson, all of Rapid City; a brother, Stan Johnson; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
