RAPID CITY - Marian L. Zambon, 92, died Friday, December 15, 2023 at Clarkson Health Care.

Marian was born on July 7, 1931 to William and Elsie (Dean) Ahrendt in Meckling, South Dakota. She graduated high school in Vermillion. Marian married Clement E. Zambon on September 11, 1950.

She was a member of Tops and was active in a bowling league.

Marian will be remembered for being a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was soft spoken and had a gentle spirit. Marian enjoyed the time she spent and the memories she created with her children and grandchildren.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clement; daughter, Lisa Zambon; brothers: Don Ahrendt, Leo Ahrendt, Ronald Ahrendt; sisters: Lois Nelson, Clara Burrell, Maxine Burrell, Carol Nuss, Dorothy Bruce; sister-in-law Rose Kovosevich, brother-in-law Jim Kovosevich and brother-in-law, Delbert M. Zambon.

She is survived by her children: Debbie (John) Melvin; Cindy (Bill) Wellman; Clement (Glenna) Zambon; Julie (Steve) Ellis; brother, Russ Ahrendt; sister-in-law, Jean Zambon; six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Private family graveside services will be on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Black Hills National Cemetery.
