RAPID CITY - Marjorie M. Baehler, 86, Rapid City, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at the Clarkson-Mountain View Nursing Home. Marjorie was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Wales, N.D., near the Canadian border, to Henry and Rose (Hell) Fischer.? Marjorie was united in marriage on Nov. 25, 1950, to Alfred Baehler in Rapid City. Marge worked for the Rapid City school system in the cafeteria for many years.?She also volunteered at the hospital, making newborn baby caps and heart pillows for the heart patients. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was?a member of South Canyon Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include three sons, Bill Baehler and special friend Mary Fimple, Rapid City, Carl Baehler and his wife Mary, Chadron, NE, and Lyle Baehler, Rapid City; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Ted; and three sisters, Della, Shirley and Esther. She was preceded in death by her husband and several siblings. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the South Canyon Lutheran Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the South Canyon Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Bruce Thalacker officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
